Case Study on Contribution of Drama Serial “Mayi Ri” and its Influence on Intra-Personal Relationship of Teenagers

Aim of the Study: This research paper evaluates how drama serial “MAYI RI” put influence on intra-personal relationship of teenagers. This study investigates how "MAYI RI" influences the intra-personal relationships of this age group, specifically examining its impact on their self-perception, social interactions, and emotional development. This research paper evaluates the various influences of drama serial MAYI RI on the child marriages, issue number five of sustainable development goals based on gender equality and child marriages is the sub category of the goal in SDG’s(2015).
Methodology: To analyze the data, the researcher used a narrative analysis of semi-structured in-depth interviews of sample size (20 participants) aged 13-19 years old and applied it. The study employed media system dependency theory and a conceptual framework as a reference framework. By this inclusive investigation the researcher contribute to analyze the gender-based portrayal in drama serial MAYI RI.
Findings: The findings of the study showed that the play “MAYI RI” was not just for entertainment but to serves as pedagogical and cultural tool in building critical consciousness of students that would enable them to look at the social realities with all its lopsidedness by challenging retrogressive and antithetical traditions.
Conclusion: Media producers and policy makers should encourage socially relevant edutainment production. Collaborations between the educators, media houses and NGOs can make a significant contribution to raising awareness and bringing about social change through storytelling.
