Cultural Effects of Urdu Dramas of GEO and HUM TV among University Students of Narowal

Aim of the Study: The investigation of the cultural effects of GEO and HUM TV's Urdu dramas are from students of University of Narowal. The study was also done to examine if the results indicated that women accept diversity and alter their lifestyles as a result of watching Urdu programs.
Methodology: The researchers adopted quantitative methodology to explore the phenomenon of concern. A sample of 200 respondents is selected from Narowal using purposive and convenient sampling techniques. Convenience sampling is often used in the social sciences for data collection. Convenience sampling is a type of non-probability sampling technique used to selects units for the sample depending on how easily they can be reached by the researchers.
Results: According to 82% of respondents, Pakistani Urdu dramas foster cultural education. Pakistan's official language, Urdu, is frequently used in television dramas, which promotes language learning and helps speakers of Urdu develop their communication abilities.
Conclusion: The study concluded that Urdu dramas promoting local culture among the people especially youth. Youngsters like to watch TV dramas for entertaining and usually spend time on watching dramas daily. It is concluded that TV dramas have sufficient effects on lifestyle, entertainment, fashion, language, social values of youngsters.
